Is dual language immersion new to your school or are you still wondering what is the best way to evaluate teachers in immersion programs? Being an immersion school and teaching within a program is very different from teaching in a traditional school. How do we as Principals or instructional leads know what to look for, how to anchor expectations, and how to support our teaching staff in the most effective and useful ways possible, especially if we don’t speak the language of instruction?
Join us on Wednesday, February 22nd for a virtual Lunch and Learn to discuss highly effective strategies and walkthrough tools for your school and classrooms. The session will be led by Annie Trujillo, Principal at the Denver Language School (DLS) Whiteman Campus. Denver Language School is a K-8 early total immersion school in the Denver Public School System and the number one charter school in DPS. Annie is a lifelong educator, having taught in the classroom, been a charter school founder, worked in schools abroad, and is now leading the pedagogy and curriculum efforts at DLS.
